Get to know Jason!
Jason discovered the world of coffee in college when he started his first job as a roasting technician with Starbucks while studying computer science / information systems in 2003. Amazed at the combination of art and science with roasting, he began to learn more about the entire supply chain and fell in love with the process, with the coffee, and with the human stories behind every cup.
Over the course of his career, Jason has managed large scale operations from startup planning and project management to furthering the safety, quality, and performance culture within some of the world’s most sophisticated coffee manufacturing facilities. Having a passion for people and learning, he moved into the L&D field within a global coffee operations role and led a team in developing standard learning programs for end to end coffee operations which were implemented across three continents (Asia, Europe, North America), translated into four languages, and shared across 10 sites. Jason continues to support coffee operations by leading the traffic, logistics, and roasting capabilities of Novus Coffee Imports.
In his off time, Jason loves to explore the great outdoors of the Pacific NW with his wife and three kids, sharing coffee with friends, engaging in philosophical discourse, and pursuing entrepreneurial interests.
