Get To Know Cynthia!

 

Cynthia joined the Mercon Specialty team at the beginning of 2023 and is eager to learn about all things coffee.

She graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Strategic Communications: Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration. Cynthia’s experience in Marketing began through an internship for WSU’s International Center. She then focused on marketing and events with the ‘Engage the World Program’, and additionally she worked as VP of Marketing & PR for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

After college, Cynthia worked as a Marketing Communications Manager for a Seattle office coffee service provider for 5 years, where she was introduced to local Seattle coffee roasters. Her interest in coffee sparked during visits to roasters and her involvement creating blends for a new coffee line.

Excited to learn the entire coffee chain from farm to cup and all the processes in between, she says Mercon has already inspired her in many ways, and she now sees coffee in an entirely different light. Her favorite way to drink coffee is shots of espresso over ice with oat milk. Her favorite cocktail is espresso martinis (or any martini rather). She lives in Seattle and enjoys reading, visiting coffee shops, Pilates, and hanging out with friends and family.
