The story behind the coffee
In 1991 José Marciano inherited the João José farm from his father. At that time, he used the land to work with cattle. As the years went by, he acquired another farm from his father and started planting coffee. It was a great challenge, since everything was done manually.
His passion for coffee encouraged him to move forward in this business. João José farm sits in a region suitable to produce specialty coffees at an altitude of 1,320 masl, which provides excellent topography and altitude, in the Mantiqueira region of Minas Gerais.
Today, the whole family is involved in working on the farm, this includes his wife Vera Lúcia, José Marciano and his two children Pamela Eduarda and Diego Marciano.
