The story behind the coffee
The Kenya Top Lot AA is from smallholder producers in the Nyeri and Kirinyaga counties of Kenya, on the slopes of Mt. Kenya at altitudes of 1,700-2,200 meters above sea level. Kenya has two harvest, a main crop and a fly crop. This lot comes from the main crop.
Kenyan coffees are singular because of the mild climates, high elevations and volcanic clay soil. The soil creates a complex coffee with high acidity that is sought after by connoisseurs throughout the world.
